London airport transfer

Airport transfer to central London

All airports around London as Gatwick, Luton, Heathrow and Stansted have really good Airport Express Trains which takes you quickly from the airport to central London. They usually go every 15 minutes from both the airport and then from London when you are going back home again. The last time we went with EasyJet from Gothenburg we landed at Gatwick Airport and booked our airport transfer on the Gatwick Express. It was great to have the ticket booked already at home.

As soon as we landed and picked up our suitcases, it was just to walk to the platform where the train was waiting and in and sit down. It's like a commuter train with good space to put your luggage and easy to keep an eye on it. A few minutes after departure a conductor came by and it was just to show the internet confirmation we received when booking, so everything was ready. The same when we left London to go back to the airport. Really smooth.

So, book your airport transfer tickets at home, before you leave.

Stansted ExpressStansted Airport (STN)

The airport is located at about 50 km north of London. Stansted is an international airport where several of the major low-cost flights land as example. Ryanair and easyJet.

Stansted Express to London

Stansted Express
From the airport into central London the easiest way is to go by Stansted Express. A fast train that departs every 15 minutes and takes you into Liverpool Street Station. The transfer takes approx. 45 min.

Bus: There are also buses from Stansted but if you end up in rush hour it can take several hours to London. And back to the airport, it is not fun sitting in queues. We did that when we took the bus a few years ago and we almost missed our flight home.
